Saturday, Day 0, AFK

Plague news: three new cases, one local and two imports. Twenty-five total active cases, twenty-two in hospital and one in ICU.

Total numbers are still going down, but I don't like those local transmissions. I heard this week that some idiot tied a bedsheet rope to escape quarantine and I want to smack them.

Just got news that someone with Delta was up in my neck of the woods. At a pub in Caboolture, which is nowhere I or Beloved will be, but there's also whoever else was in the pub with them.

Not looking at the news this weekend. Today, I am going away from the keyboard so I can build a replacement to the marble run the family broke on Miss Chaos. Including myself... I blame me for taking too long in building it.

Friday, Day 1, Busy Time

Plague news: NO NEW CASES! Twenty-six total active cases, twenty-five in hospital, and one in the ICU.

I love seeing the numbers drop.

We're still masking in Sunny Queensland and still being paranoid. It seems to be working. Let's hope it continues.

The prisoner was sitting cuffed to a chair that was welded to the floor. The human was sitting with a pile of books next to them across the metal table that was also welded to the floor. The chair was not uncomfortable and the cuffs were padded.

Thursday, Day 0, Nonsense Ahoy

Plague news: one new case, an import. Thirty-one total cases, twenty seven in hospital, two in the ICU.

I now have a replacement for the marble run that we broke on Miss Chaos though incompetence and mishandling. The trick now is to find enough time to make it in one sitting. Possibly on my own. I deserve the thumb pain for ruining Miss Chaos' chosen prize.

A planet has a rogue virus that is quite dangerous and, for some, lethal. A vaccination has been found, but due to a dangerous quirk of the virus, it's being difficult about combining it with an immuno-flu, so the old-fashioned shots have to do until another way is found.

Plague news: Two new cases, both imports. I heard that anyone near Kippa-ring needs to get themselves tested because of one agro Knomira. Lovely. Thirty-six active cases, thirty-three in hospital and two in ICU.

Monday, Day 0, Onwards!

Plague News: 1 new case, an import. Thirty-nine total cases, thirty seven in hospital, two in the ICU.

The numbers are going down. All the community efforts to step on transmission are working.

And further, my Beloved has made bread.

They seemed like the perfect set of employees. They actually begged the CEO's of the Deregger colonies to be allowed to live there. They offered to work for almost no pay, even less than what the other workers got. Odd, the other workers were not complaining as this group seemed to do a lot more work, but for less shelter and less pay.
