Realm of the InterNutter

Thoughts, stories and ideas.

Monday, Plague Day 7, Quirblies

I've got some internal nonsense happening related to the plague. Or it could be related to the antibiotics. I don't know. Either way, staying hydrated is a priority of sorts.

Might be looking up how to make Miso soup in the home with the stuff I have to hand. I'll need all of that. Not that I feel too tremendously terrible. Yet.

I'm trying to stay far away from civilisation whilst I still have symptoms. I shall be re-establishing a normal soon. It looks like I have my voice back, but I think I'll take another week off of streaming just to be safe.

No throwing up, just some acidic burps. The other way... well at least it's not painful.

Taking things very easily, and also taking frequent bathroom breaks, I shall get today's tale done.

And then probably nap again.

Challenge #03493-I205: Covert Operations

The CRC rewards handsomely for those that rescue Dereggers from their polities, but what of those who do not wish to leave their home planets because they are trying to help, from the inside, make things better? Does the CRC reward if they are kidnapped and taken as a "rescue" against their will, or are they allowed to go home to continue their work? -- The New Guy

Consent is essential when rescuing Dereggers. Forcing people to go where they do not

Sunday, Plague Day 6, worn

I still need rest. I am not playing any games with the crew tonight. This plague has left me feeling a lot more worn out than usual. The post-lurgi sensation of limp, greasy, unwantableness continues to linger. So I shall baby myself. Wait until I'm sure that I am up to snuff, so to speak, before I take some wobbling steps back into what passes for my normal routine.

I need my voice to stream. I don't need it to write. So.

Challenge #03492-I204: Covert Patriotism

The CRC keeps trying to reward them for going around rescuing Dereggers and going from station to station to help clean and repair things and getting the stations back on track. They only accept enough to keep their ship in good repair and have supplies. The rest? Well, there are now a couple of charities set up to help those in need. -- Fighting Fit

Picture in your mind a general transit made for just about any work within civilised space. The

Saturday, Plague Day 5, Recovery?

I'm feeling better and brighter today. I spent half the night horking up what felt like chunks of lung. So I have NO idea why I feel so firkin well-rested.

I am on antibiotics, which require me to eat something twice a day. A big ask for this nerd.

I'm waiting for my tea to cool, and I might have to take my horse pill with a dose of Shandy because I am actually hungry. This is a big deal for me.

Challenge #03491-I203: Audience With the Thrice Sworn King

"I'm not a King."

--But you're wearing a crown...---

"I'm a servant.

---I don't understand....----

He goes to the window and points to the cities and lands stretching far and wide. "I serve them. They are MY Kings and Queens."

The thief nods in confusion as they are not being punished, but being offered more funds to help feed their family. -- The New Guy

What are kings? Conquerers and bullies. Greedy guzzling gourmands with cloth-of-gold over their guts. Gilded

Friday, Plague Day 4, incoming medical assistance?

My head's a bit clearer today. However, my voice is shot to shit and trying to talk makes me regret it in twenty minutes or less.

Which is going to make a phone call from the Covid Response Teams some "interesting times". Beloved has offered to talk for me, but she's sleeping off the Plague 90% of the time.

It's going to hurt.

I feel like I'm recovering, but it could easily be a false upswing before something else lands on me

Challenge #03490-I202: Strange Happenstances

A Nagha, Kevin, Ma, Wraithvine, Podmore, the Raven-folk a tiefling named Abundance, and young Venin the Goblin all ready the place of destiny that Kevin and Ma were supposed to go. However, what they were to do, was a bit.. complicated. And not at all what anyone expected. But when they finally settle down, the motley crew at least have family to rely on, that is to say, each other.

Beings are from these stories.

Thursday, Plague Day 3... Ow...

My head is splitting and I'm coughing up opaque stuff. I can't look at the colour because the headache makes me light sensitive.

I barely have a voice left, so calling the doctor for better painkillers and maybe antibiotics is going to be problematic at best.

Make that "definitely antibiotics". I just coughed up something very green.

GDI.

I am a very sore, very tired bean. I'm waiting for the painkillers to kick in and it looks like they're not being nice

Challenge #03489-I201: Keeping the Balance

A person, a historian who wrote the chronicles of the world once asked, what happened to all the kingdoms, empires, and other lands where the corrupt leaders were felled by Wraithvine the Eternal, and there ended up power vacuums? Did he leave the lands in such a state, to go to war with itself as new powers tried to claim the thrones? Or did he find a way to rule them, until ones could be found that were worthy of such seats

Wednesday, Plague Day 2, Everything's Cancelled

My breakfast is a slight bit cold. My tea is a slight bit hot. As a result, I'm taking my pills with spoonfulls of tea so I don't burn my lips on the mug. I am hoping that I will be over the worst of it by Friday.

I might even have to pause the daily tale. I will see how I feel about stuff and nonsense after the painkillers kick in.

In my list of symptoms:

  • Headache
  • Backache
  • General creaky joints

Challenge #03488-I200: Trouble From the Little Things

A broken-hearted child who was severely scolded and reprimanded all because they were trying to be kind, now hesitates to help even when asked. Constantly terrified they are going to be shouted at for doing even the smallest thing for anyone. They've taken to isolating themselves, afraid of being around others, and in need of a lot of therapy.

Tuesday, Plague Day 1

Yesterday gave me a scratchy throat. It also gave me a nice notice from Miss Chaos' school saying that there had been CORONA EXPOSURE in her class.

This morning's RAT had a faint line in the "positive" section. Which, for those of you who are unfamiliar, means that I have the plague.

This morning has given me an even worse throat, a headache, and pains in my bones. I shall aim to get my content out anyway, but my main focus will

Challenge #03487-I199: And Your Choice of Dipping Sauce

A group of humans invite a large group of Vorax, as well as other factions of their kind, such as the farmers, the factory workers and so forth, to a huge planet that's a foodie paradise. Shelling out the time to take them to an all-you-can-eat-high-calorie-lots-of-meat buffet. Why? Just for the fun of it. -- Anon Guest

It's not often that one invites the enemy to a dinner date. Neither side was truly prepared, but the Humans knew how to do peace

Long Monday, History Repeats

This time, we have ample warning of a new rash of plague threatening to sweep the nation. And this time, there's absolutely no motion to try and quell the tide.

Everyone's fucking given up and it's going to kill so many people.

Grr.

I'm going to have to spend even more time in isolation because of those maskhole knomiras who don't care what happens to anyone else so long as THEY don't get consequences. Well, my dearies, Death doesn't have a manager
