Realm of the InterNutter

Thoughts, stories and ideas.

Wednesday, Wordpress and Perishables

I'm getting the perishable stuff, cooking, and wrapping today. All for Crimbo Prep so I can get stuff out of the way. Nice and organised.

That's the PLN.

Mayhem's decided to buy some Crimbo treats instead of making a second pie. Handmade is labor-intensive, after all. It took him three days to do the first pie. Dude made the pastry and everything.

Other PLNs include writing another twofer, the meme, and maybe even recording some chapters for Adorable IF I have the time.

Probably won't.

The ham also comes out of the freezer today. I'm going to really research how best to cook that thing. Pineapple slices may be involved, IDK.

Also, in theory, I shall be working on tidying up the house. In theory. I hate tidying.

Onwards ever onwards.

Challenge #04004-J352: Monster Spotting

Several bodies lay before them, a blade in their hand. The red marks that had once been chains around their bodies a deep red. They looked worried as they turned to the man in the red and yellow garments standing in the chamber with them. "I killed these people that tormented me for so long... why do I feel absolutely nothing about shedding their blood?" -- Anon Guest

[AN: The members of Pax Humanis wear yellow, red, and black. Much like a

Challenge #04003-J351: Many Moving Parts

They were an elf, over 500 human years of age, yet their hair was cropped quite short, always. When asked why, they merely smiled and twitched the edge of their rather practical clothing and stated calmly "It's easier to take care of this way, and a lot cooler in the warmer months, too." -- Anon Guest

Hair has always been a mark of status amongst Elvenkind. They have measured their experience and perfections by how long they wore their hair. They judged

Tuesday, Back Online!

After eliminating all possible problems at home, we turned to the ISP. Who admitted that there's been an outage in the whole area.

As a side note, I joked that we'd get internet access back on the day when I'm due for intensive running around and... yeah. The dodge ball of Apollo smacked me good.

I shall be taking off in a few short hours to take Mayhem to APM. Which means that my offerings will be scattered.

Nevertheless, I shall be

Saturday, Parkrun and internet woes

We had one fuck of a storm last night and currently, our connection to the internet is limited to my phone.

Unless I can get everything fixed before bedtime, there's not going to be anything from me until further notice.

My phone data is limited, and I'm using some of it just too get this message out there.

Wish me luck. I am going to need it.

Plus side for my productivity - there's little else to do BUT write. Yay? IDK.

Challenge #04002-J350: Before You Become Ash

They were working 10 hour days, plus several oddball hour meetings with the groups they were in for their hobbies that they treated like a second job. Their companion, who was also their best friend, forced them to take a vacation before their mental, and physical, health began to suffer for it. -- Anon Guest

Nils took in a scene of absolute horror. A tidy domicile, with all of hir craft supplies and tools conspicuous by their absence. All of the tools

Friday, Unfuckening PLNs

I have the BG3 brainworms making me write stuff again. I will ATTEMPT to retain focus on the important bits.

I did get some more written for my Beauties summary, but I decided against doing any programming jiggery-pokery. Emotional fortitude and all that.

Today, I get all the mail off the dining room table, in preparation for the upcoming holiday. Hooray. Alongside all the other unfucking processes and occupations I regularly do.

Speaking of, I really need to get to the catio.

Challenge #04001-J349: Weirdest Roommate Ever

A: So I’ve got a spider in my apartment…

Thursday, Side-projects Day

Today, after I am done with my offerings, I shall try a few things I have remaining unfinished. Maps for another game I'm planning to run, more tooling around on Cheev Three of Stencyl's lessons, and recordings of at least one chapter for the rest of my PLNs.

And at least one paragraph into my summary of Beauties and the Beastly.

Somewhere in there, I should at least try to come up with a rough draft of a "Dear Employee" letter to

Challenge #04000-J348: Scheherazade IV

They were a member of Pax Humanis, but was so elderly their days hunting down the truly evil of the universe was over. These days, they trained new assassins how to find the ones who truly deserved to be eliminated, and how to eliminate them in a way that scared the crap out of other evil people who were on that same path. -- Anon Guest

Wednesday, Wordpress and Milestone

Today, I am writing my four thousandth story. I'm going to be spending some of my spondooly in getting that thing out to as many eyes as possible.

That will be happening later. For now, I do the minor tasks in waiting to go get all the things we need for the interim.

I managed to bork my wrists before I was done getting dressed. Mayhaps my morning routine needs to do the wrist stretchies before I put on my new knee

Challenge #03999-J347: From Little Things

"I'm nothing."

"Incorrect - you are a seed."

"I'm worthless."

"You are helping many people."

"Why are you giving me this acorn?"

"This is you, and your very, very long life. Plant it in fertile soil, and come back in 20 standard years. Keep helping people as you are, and you will see your answer."

"I don't understand."

"You will, I promise." -- Anon Guest

Tuesday, Tech Support Excursion

Patreon and all my other offerings will be LATE today. Because the instant I finish my morning routine, I'm offski to MeMum's for extended tech support and budget wrangling.

It's going to be interesting times, as Mum has just broken something else in her new TV.

And to top it all off, I have a cyclone headache this morning. Huzzah.

Of course I've taken my painkillers. I can drive with one of these bastard heads and have done so before. With good

Monday, Tale Foundry Reads, Continuing Technical Issues

My writing group is sharing their diverse tales today. A thing that will likely keep me until the afternoon.

In the meantime, I shall be doing my stretchies, working on the entry for next week, recording a chapter of Adapting, and maybe doing something for Chapter 353 of A Devil's Tale while I'm at it.

Perhaps even some minor tweaking to my work in Stencyl too.

Tomorrow is the day I don't have scheduled obligations, so that's the day I sally forth
