Challenge #02861-G304: Well That Was Dumb

"Fuck!"

"Ow."

"...I'm bleeding." -- Anon Guest

Accidents happen quickly. Reactions to them differ. Humans have a shock response that insulates them from immediately feeling an injury. As a survival tactic, it's great for getting the people away from the threat, but in a more technologically advanced setting... it's disturbing to unprepared onlookers.

Human Dree had been working on something involving sharp tools and applied pressure. One of their multiple hobbies. The tool slipped, and the reaction was instant and automatic. "FLAKK!"

Human Dree left their work to track down the tool that had gone flying. In the process, they realised that they were hurt. "Ow." Human Dree finished retrieving their tool and inspected the site of their pain. Palpating the area, seemingly for curiosity's sake more than anything else.

Monday - Day Four

The USA has overwhelmingly chosen to not have the Muppet in office. Of course the right wing is throwing a tantrum about it. At least ScoMo's willing to roll with the flow.

The internet is more or less sighing in relief. Maybe this will be the turning point where the world brings itself back from the brink.

The real difference between the Muppet and Biden is that the Muppet surrounded himself with toadies and yes-men. Biden, even when campaigning, has surrounded himself

Challenge #02860-G303: ART!

They had some pre-shattering videos they wanted to show their friends, a mixed group of havenworlders and level one and level two deathworlders. Once everyone was seated, they turned down the lights and began the video on the large screen. People, human-looking, painted up all in blue, playing techno music on improvised instruments. A fun, amusing, experience for the humans, but maybe a little confusing, if still fun, for everyone else.

Sunday - Day Three - Leyland's Tour!

Yesterday was almost complete shenanigans and most of it was spending too much money getting supplies. Thanks to the lack of community transmission, I actually felt bold enough to shop around rather than go on the most efficient path to obtain the thing.

Things have changed so much it's disorienting.

  • Big W has two dedicated exits and one dedicated entrance
  • Golden Circle Factory Outlet has moved
  • Right next to a Silly Solly's
  • I went to six different places and forgot to get

Challenge #02859-G302: Fae Fascination

The Fates, the Benevolent ones, In olden times mothers used to leave cake and wine so they'd look kindly on a newborn. She was no fool, a neatly sliced black forest cake, a bottle of very good dessert wine and a bag of superfine merino fleece. -- Nonn7mouse

Upon bringing a newborn into the house, it is tradition to give a gift to the Fae to prevent the child being stolen, and so that the Benevolent Ones look kindly upon the new

Saturday - Day Two - Insanity

The world is going crabonkers around me and here's why:

  • Destiel [Dean/Castiel on Supernatural] is made canon in the finale and then IMMEDIATELY followed by Bury Your Gays as the forces of the Writer's Room instantly send Castiel to Super Mega Hell
  • Rumours of Putin retiring because Parkinson's/Cancer/AIDs/Who knows have escaped because someone dropped a pre-written piece somewhere.
  • USA election shenanigans continue at a mind-boggling rate

There's a LOT to unpack, here.

  • The right wing is self-owning as

Challenge #02858-G301: Enough Talk, Let's Fight

Humans fighting against claws and big animals were common things to watch in reports.

But the true, bloody fight is only when humans were fist-fighting against each other. Punching throats, kicking stomachs, smashing head against walls. -- Anon Guest

All around the Alliance, there is a genre of disturbing footage known as Humans Fighting Things. It is not generally recommended for Havenworlder viewing. Achivaas all over the Alliance and the Fellowship of Terran Planets alike scour it all to be sure that

Friday - Day One and Bread

I'm making bread so that there's an oversupply and I will be free to nom on a household loaf whenever.

Alongside the PLNs to make bread, there's household unfuckening and the usual writing to do.

Over this week, I have been writing a guide to Whitekeep, the point of Origin for my Tiefling dude. Loads upon loads of worldbuilding into one solid document.

...which I believe may be finished, but I'm not certain. I need people to check it before I send

Challenge #02857-G300: The Curse/Blessing of Brightherald

Her child, one of several otherwise unwanted waifs within the village that she'd adopted, brought him to Ma. An older woman who was scarred and, yet, quite strong. She never gave up hope. He was old, he was poor, and he spent a great deal of time hungry. She'd seen him begging before, but had never had a chance to speak to him. When he was lead to her by one of her children during the Sunshine Festival, she had the chance

Thursday - Day Zero - Even Mor Shenanigans

Two more cases. Overseas. Quarantine. Yet more for the One Arsehole Theory. I feel like yelling at visitors from overseas. You're infected. Rack off.

Ugh. I'm not normally this uncharitable. This is what the plague has done to me. I swear I'm not xenophobic, I just don't want an outbreak happening in my area.

The Muppet is continuing shenanigans by blocking the counting of early and postal votes before election night and then insisting that they're all tallied afterwards. Which he's going

Challenge #02856-G299: Somewhere 'Neath Avalon Fair

I’ve been away for so long. But like the winds of the summer weather, I am back and I’m even better. Nothing can break up this bond. We’re in our prime, this is our time -- Anon Guest

Legendary heroes never die. It's true. They're always shunted off into some mystical realm to rise again in their country's greatest need. Legends fade from memory. Country names change. Yet the land and the hero remain bound by that promise.

Wednesday - Day Zero - Mor Shenanigans

THREE new cases from overseas and the odds of One Arsehole are increasing. It also means that there are more and more people with the plague attempting to reach areas without. That is, as I have previously stated, how you spread the plague.

One arsehole can shit on everything for everyone.

Election is happening in the USA and no matter who wins, the right wing will be firing upon the left wing. The only real difference is whether the ones with guns

Challenge #02855-G298: You Don't Have to Learn

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOXB7348RPk -- Escla

Humans love music. They love to make it, they love to have it. It punctuates their lives, helps them focus, lifts their mood, and even lulls them to sleep. It permeates their cultures and can even entertain multitudes.

It can also be highly invasive, annoying, and a form of psychological warfare, and Humans know this. Especially Human Jo, who has been captured by enemy forces and is now one among many bargaining chips

Tuesday - Day One and Shenanigans

The coels were wurruping this morning, so it's for sure going to rain. My cyclone headache continues and we're out of ibuprofen. Gotta go and get some more in bulk from a convenient chemist somewhere in my shenanigans.

Because today, I am due to do the shrink visit again so that's my window of opportunity. Also because Scatterbrain, I will be working on my Instant on my Lappy. Fingers crossed, I get things done before I must get moving. If not, though,

Challenge #02854-G297: Here's One We Made Earlier

They had left Marvin with the village he had saved through the adventure he'd done on his own. As much as it hurt Anthe to do so, and even Wraithvine felt a tugging in his heart, they knew it was the best thing for him. That village needed the young man, and he needed his home there. Him and his new wife. He'd met her when she'd joined him, Wraithvine and Anthe while they were adventuring together.

Then a message came as
