Monday, Self-kindness

Good news! I was not arrested for existing whilst queer. The cops held both sides apart by like ten meters because they really like an easier job.

So the rainbow set yelled at them, and the TERF set decided to condescendingly pity us. Some of them danced to our chants and it was confusing until someone told me they were mocking us.

I thought they were digging our jams.

On the plus side, there were way more rainbow people than TERFs. Something to be grateful for.

I have a twofer to give you today, but because borked wrists, I am not doing much more than that. The cyclone headache isn't helping either.

My preferred phone is likely going to get a battery replacement as a new phone is more expensive than a repair. That might take a bit of a while.

So let's get on with the stories for the day.

Sunday, Excursion PLNs

So apparently some aggregious TERF from the United States has come all the way to Australia to stage some bullshit about how genderqueer folks are all dangerous pedos and a danger to womens' sports or whatever the fuck.

Naturally, this should not be allowed to stand.

So everyone in solidarity is poised to counter that bullshit with a show of numbers, including everyone who stands with the genderqueers and their right to live their lives in peace.

First they called gays "pedos"

Challenge #03723-J070: One Simple Request

If the women cannot have their freedom, then THEY cannot have more children! The women, almost all of them on the planet, agree to take a reversable treatment which leads them to be barren. And the only ones who can reverse it? The Alliance. The CEO's refuse to give them freedom? The CEO's population can vanish! -- Anon Guest

Of course the Alliance gave them the weapon in their battle. Something easy to smuggle in, easy to apply, and very very hard

Saturday, Other Shenanigans

The weather bureau predicted flooding rains and the shittiest of weather for today. That in combo with Friendo Awesome and the busted tooth meant that we took it easy this morning and went on with more leisurely plns.

Cue a Leyland's Tour that included: breakfast, a haircut for Friendo Awesome, two pickup points and a coffee break.

And that's why I'm doing my normal nonsense in the afternoon.

In the bad news department...

My old phone is delaminating because swelling battery syndrome,

Challenge #03722-J069: True Family

A Human family find an orphaned infant Elf after a massive earthquake. Raising an Elf isn't easy, but they love the child as deeply as if the child were their own blood. -- The New Guy

Nino was eight before they learned that their name was not Poor Dear. They knew their story from before the time that they understood words.

Rennie and Mama found them crying by the road, the poor dear. Rennie scooped Nino up and Mama helped hir walk

Friday, Unfuckening++

So. Friendo Awesome broke a tooth, and that needs some care and attention. She will be far from home when the attention is done, so we're loaning the spare bedroom to her until the morrow. It might make Parkrun interesting, but it's making today interesting because... scrattle all over the house.

I have to unscrattle the house today.

After I finish this portion of my output, I'll begin the shenanigans for The Bikkie and get on with doing the daily tale.

Challenge #03721-J068: Uncertain Failure Point

A Deregger world decides that literacy is the ultimate in keeping the populace in their place. Those that struggle to learn to read are segregated and given the WORST, most dangerous, the most horrific, jobs in the entire world. The CEO's learn quickly an educated population doesn't like being treated that way. The CEO's learn their own lessons, too late. The CRC, thinks teaching the populace to read was a FANTASTIC idea! -- DaniAndShali

Teach them to read so the CRC stays

Thursday, Progress Again

We had a wonderful day, disconnected from most of the interwebs but not technology. I needed a nap in the middle of it. We didn't get around to buying any bling, which might be a good thing.

Chapter count: Currently working on chapter 234.

Six more chapters and I'll be starting a new GoogDoc on the thing.

I can only HOPE it's going to stop at a trilogy at this point. The story ends when it wants to end, and I am

Challenge #03720-J067: Important Standards

A highly arrogant Deregger decided to send to the "alliance scum" all of the "unwanted wastes of space." The elderly unable to work anymore, the "r-words" in their view who were not worth keeping alive, the disabled, the drug-addled wastrels, etc. Why? To try to swamp them with the "wastes of society" and prove that these individuals were too much for anyone to keep alive. It... backfired. -- Anon Guest

It seemed like a brilliant flash of genius to the Deregger community.

Wednesday, Anniversary Celebrations

My love and I are getting our hair done. That is all that's cemented in our PLNs for the day. Nevertheless, I am prepared to be spending most of the day doing it.

So I shall probably be AFK for most of my conscious hours. So my agenda today is:

  1. Do the meme thing in the Fediverse
  2. Post the Wordpress episode
  3. If time, work on my daily tale

If not, you get a twofer tomorrow. I'm not just bringing my laptop, but

Challenge #03719-J066: Surprise Witnesses

They were hired to do an odd job. To make several young individuals disappear, but to make it look like these individuals were killed, when, in fact, they were very much alive. They had valuable information that needed to go get to the CRC, quickly, and be witnesses for the aftermath. -- Anon Guest

"We're theatre techs, not mercenaries," complained Techie Aed. "How are we going to live through this exercise." They looked to their team, who were also terrified.

"That's what

Challenge #03718-J065: Chalk Change

"Why in the name of the Powers are we doing this??"

"We're going to change the world!"

"By..... teaching a bunch of street-kids how to read and write?"

"Let me explain to you about what happens when you throw a stone into a pond again." -- Anon Guest

It was a world gone to hell. Polluted and lacking anything of worth, except the people. The CEO's had used the final 'D' of abominable business practices[1] and found somewhere else to use

Monday, Mor Progress

I'm working on Map 16 with some genuine ideas of what the hell I'm doing. My aim is to get a chapter summarised, a week tagged, and some jiggery-pokery done for the dungeon.

I also would dearly love to get another chapter done. Keep ahead of the curve.

We get paid tomorrow. Huzzah. Which means we can breathe a little bit easier until next paycheque.

Tale Foundry's doing the backup readings right now, so my story will be happening whenever I can

Challenge #03717-J064: A Simple Sacrifice

Wraithvine meets an Elf who has a strange, and rather bad, haircut. They find out that this individual has been cutting their own hair, and making charm bracelets out of it, to give to any and all children they find, with a stone of blessing. What is the blessing? That the children remain healthy even if exposed to illnesses, and avoid infections even if they get injured. -- Anon Guest

The oldest of magics are very very personal. A heartfelt wish. True
