Tuesday, Day 0, Patreon

Three new cases, all imports. Fifteen total, and twelve in hospital.

Today, I'm about to splurge a whole bunch of nonsense on my Patreon. You're welcome? Maybe?

I'm also plotting to learn how to fly Javascript. So I can make an app so that people can access my Instants anywhere anytime.

I have a Goals Document, which I will be sharing for free over on Patreon.

It's bus o'clock. I don't have time for the news.

Challenge #03056-H133: Must Love Cats

They took in unwanted stray cats and dogs from around stations, especially taking them away from DeRegger places, and took them to a massive new station that, once they were spayed / neutered, they lived happily and were well loved, and learned to love, until they were adopted out. Unfortunately, not all visitors to Humane Station were the friendly sort. However, not all the unfriendlies were... all that unfriendly. Especially when two new faces saw a group of spacers bullying caretakers, and cruel

Monday, Day 1, Sideways!

Twelve total cases, eleven in hospital. I have bad news and good news in an interesting cycle that is making my entire life go sideways today. Huzzah.

Bad news: I broke my glasses by taking off my T-shirt. Good news: I have the frame and the lens. Bad news: but not the teeny tiny screw that has fallen out AGAIN.

I am going to have a sharp word with the manufacturer, telling them it's BAD DESIGN to screw the screws in from

Challenge #03055-H132: Worked Stone

It was an old custom on Earth that was once popular. Humans would paint stones with pretty pictures, happy sayings, and then, when they had a fairly large collection done, would take all of these intricate stones and scatter them all over the place so other people could find them. Often with a URL on the back for people to log in with a picture of the stone to show it was found and where. A way to brighten a person's day.

Sunday, Day 0, Stream Day

Two new cases, both imports. Thirteen total and eleven in hospital. I just watched Toasty do their arting and am looking forward to hearing Tale Foundry read some stories. In between then and now, I am committing literature for your enjoyment and mine.

I should hope you enjoy my nonsense.

In the news:

  • Melbourne's syphilis outbreak is now above the fold
  • China stealth invading Bhutan
  • Billionaire calls Aussie bosses "parasites" for allowing workers to work from home. Maybe look in a mirror

Challenge #03054-H131: Irrational Therapy

They are a therapist helping those who have severe phobias. How do they do this? They help the person through careful exposure therapy. If the person is afraid of something that is actually quite dangerous, they simply help the person learn to control the fear so they can think clearly if confronted by it. For those that are terrified of that which is actually quite harmless, tiny exposure times, coupled with therapy and mild relaxants, seem to help. -- Fighting Fit

Saturday, Day 0, Still Fasting

I'm still staying away from the carbs for another week. There's two new cases, both imports. Twelve total cases, nine in hospital.

I'm going to go without carbs for as long as possible. I can already see my fingers deflating from all the water weight. Either Sneezin' and Wheezin' Season is almost over or the fast is working because I've been breathing easier these past few days. I am, however, still sneezing. Alas. I'll get to the other end of it eventually.

Challenge #03053-H130: Wrong With Authority

They were a DeRegger CEO on their own private ship with the usual, mistreated, crew hauling a load of captured, unwilling, women to the new Dereg colony. The ship, trying to take a short cut by sneaking through the edge of Alliance space, went down due to several micrometeorites getting through, it happens when a person cuts corners on safety. The CEO learned quickly that, once on an isolated, if somewhat safe, haven-like planet, no way to force obedience and all the

Friday, Day 0, 1K Day

I changed my mind about making bread today. There's one new case, an import. Twelve total cases and eleven of those are in hospital. But that's not the reason why I'm not baking.

I'm not baking because it's been a busy and stressful week. I want to have one day where it's just the obligations of the day. Which is full enough with the Instant, the unfuckening, and the 1k writing goal for KOSTSS.

It's the end of the week and the

Challenge #03052-H129: From One Cog to Another

You can’t break a man the way you break a dog or a horse. The harder you beat a man the taller he stands. -- Anon Guest

[AN: Link leads to an audio clip from a video game where the quote is from (I think?) that is all edgy tough growling with a warning at the end]

There's a saying in the Edge Territories: You can only try to break a Human. This is a warning, not an instruction. Many have

Thursday, Day 0, Scam Day

One new case, an import. Fifteen total cases and thirteen in hospital.

Today, I have to remember another scam, and I don't think I ever got onto the whole Microsoft Refund thing that's still going around. I think I almost fell for a refund scam, but again I refused to play along because it involved logging into a website.

In the news:

  • Man dies of heart attack after waiting more than an entire day to see a doctor. This happened in Queensland

Challenge #03051-H128: The Little and Fierce

Actual quote from an actual three-year-old: "Children fight the bad guys! I sharp him with my little teeth!" -- Anon Guest

[AN: I did briefly play with the idea of this being a Pib line, thank you for wondering]

The universe is a big place. There's plenty of areas that haven't heard about the inherent dangers of Deathworlders in general and Humans in particular. Therefore, it's understandable that the same mistake can happen in several different places during several different time periods.

Wednesday, Day 0, Wordpress

Two new cases, both imports. Fourteen total cases, twelve in hospital.

There's a PBL meeting in which I shall share again the immense document I put together about what to find, where to find it, and how much it is when you get it there. Which means I shall need heinous amounts of caffeine because I have come over with Super Tired today -_-

I got a decent night's sleep. I don't get it. Maybe it's depression. Maybe it's Maybeline.

Challenge #03050-H127: Fate, Destiny... a Basket...

They had been born, and abandoned. This small child, a babe in the woods, taken in by others who found their odd appearance undaunting. Who did not care about appearance, all they cared is that they were a child and needed someone to love them. They looked like a tiefling, but had the white, soft, wings of an angelic. One eye a beautiful sky blue, the other flaming red. They projected strength, and kindness at the same time. They had horns, and

Tuesday, Day 0, Headshrinkery Ho

My normal routine is on the road this morning. I shall be working on the lappy as I go a-roaming. My shrink is in for some edutainment today.

Thirteen total cases, and eleven of those are in hospital.

Also today is the official beginning of me staying the hell away from anything close to a carb. I have been indulging too much in my sweet tooth and its been getting to my health.

Not looking at the news. I have nonsense to
