Realm of the InterNutter

Thoughts, stories and ideas.

Friday, Day 0, Shenanigans

Still not looking at the news or the stats. I might be feeling better through wilful ignorance, but I am not there yet. Not at the top of my game.

Beloved got me a proper weighted blanket and for the first time in forever I did not wake up in the middle of the night with heat issues. I woke up in the middle of the night because the air was no longer circulating. I may have to get a small fan to help with that little nugget of nuisance.

Mayhem wants to go renew his driver's license today, and I am holding off on my PLNs for breads for a week at minimum.

Today, apart from the drive to the Dept of Transport, I shall be attempting OPEP sessions, hosing out my sinuses, building dungeon, and also building Alfarell.

If that's accomplished before I run out of oomph, I may write more Koshdelia fun fic.

Challenge #03329-I041: The Most Important Story

The children of the village gather around Marvin and Lady Anthe and beg them to tell a story about their travels and adventures. -- Anon Guest

"How did we wind up doing this?" said Marvin, still in the process of making his home.

"Ha! That takes me back," Lady Anthe had a sharp-toothed grin. "You used to say that a lot when you were younger and sillier."

"I was very young when we met," he said. He put down his tools so

Thursday, Day 0, STILL busy

I'm feeling a bit better about my place in the world this morning, but I know I'm still on recovery. So. No stats. No news. Just me doing my utmost to just achieve stability.

Speaking of stability, Mayhem is renewing his learner's permit, an event that I predicted. He's starting to realise that time and procrastination is going to bite him in the bum. BY having time and procrastination bite him in the bum.

...speaking of time and procrastination, I should focus

Challenge #03328-I040: We Care Because We Care...

A Human has caught a bad cold, a variant not yet indexed into the immunoflu, and is miserable. They're coughing, they're tired; and yet, they don't want to make others do their work for them. Fortunately, they have friends that are a bit insistent on making sure they eat properly, and rest in a nice, comfy, bed. - Anon Guest

Their Human was exploding. But since this was a Human, they seemed to be surviving the process. The mask was a dead

Wednesday, Day 0, Wordpress

Every time I even think of looking at the stats, I get the morbs. So I'm going to try not doing that tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Speaking of luck, I tried to get some testing done to be certain of my body chemistry, but the doc couldn't understand why I wanted all that. The tests the quack wanted to do were all for a certain thing and they have hoops to jump through and bleh.

So my beloved went and got them

Challenge #03327-I039: A Brief and Regrettable Encounter

Wraithvine was down for the count, again! The latest tests to try to find a way to immunize hir, as it were, against the effects of that blasted bell, and the shockingly powerful abilities of Amatu, were proving problematic. The young destined, for his part, was deeply apologetic as Wraithvine awakened again in the bedrolls, head throbbing, and being gently offered a restorative drink as they were trying to find a way to turn that dangerous weapon toward enemies, without harming beloved

Tuesday, Day 0, Patreon

Still not looking at the stats or the news, but I know it's not getting better. I just can't look, any more. It's giving me horrendous morbs.

Miss Chaos has supplies enough for more than a few lunches, and a sammich kit in case the hungries get her at school or if she somehow forgets to pack a decent lunch. Yay.

I still have to find a local source of fresh and unadulterated flour because waiting for it in the post is

Challenge #03326-I038: One Letter's Difference

The human is baking cookies and adds dried craisins (raisins made out of cranberries) instead of normal raisins. Needless to say, it becomes quite a hit as it's not as sweet as the normal oatmeal raisin cookies. Well, a hit with the rest of the crew, their significant other? Well, hey, for the first time baking cookies, they guess it wasn't too bad. -- Anon Guest

"You're not supervising?" Rose tried not to panic ze had only been learning how to cook

Monday, Day 0, Long Day Ahead

Still not looking at the infection news, but I doubt the numbers are doing any better. I doubt the world has got any smarter. Especially not about the gorram plague.

Still, the murder hobos got to do some murdering, though it was a close thing for a change. I gotta count the corpses and figure out the loot and then work out what the next step is. Fun.

But likely not today. Today my challenge is to stay conscious until the bus

Challenge #03325-I037: Deceptively Simple Spellwork

"Oh I'm going to hate this" muttered Wraithvine as they entered the town to drop off Slippery Sam. Amatu put the bell back in a pack that Wraithvine enchanted so only Amatu could open it, and, to avoid thieves, a curse on the pack so only those that had no intention on stealing it from Amatu could touch it without getting their hands proverbially "slapped".

Poor Wraithvine was going to endure a lot of discomfort while they researched why the bell did

Sunday, Day 0, PLNs and Plots

I'm still not looking at the statistics or the news. I just can't stand it any more. There's a reason why I stayed away from the news before the firkin plague hit.

Too many people making truly daft decisions for the lure of money rather than the greater good. Or because it's what they think their holy book tells them to. Or because cruelty's just in their DNA.

Too many people choosing to be nasty instead of figuring out where two kind

Challenge #03324-I036: For the Love of Dance

Re: [Can you please]

I would like you to write a story about a ballerina that begins ballet and finds their one true love. -- Tupper

There's a time of life where every small girl wants to wear a tutu professionally. To be entirely fair, tutus are fun and ballet looks so beautiful, and along with being a princess, ballerina is high up there on early girlhood aspirations.

It's the ones who are dedicated who learn about breaking in Pointe shoes, blood

Saturday, Day 0, Shopping Spree

I'm not doing plague news today. It's firkin depressing. Same reason why I'm not looking at the news. I have enough morbs without seeing how idiotic the world is being.

Today is a feast day, so at least part of my plns involve eating all the no-no's I can fit in my bod. Which may or may not be an endorphin booster. We shall see.

Chaos needs new shorts, she also needs to get her booster. So that's also in my agenda.

Challenge #03323-I035: Replacement Parts

It'd been a very hard week. All I want is to sit down and forget this week, to be honest. You're a therapist, you know what it's like? All I really want is a cup of coffee and something to read. Hey doc., when will my eyes be fixed? -- Anon Guest

[AN: Hey OP? OP? Ow... That's one hell of a kick in the pants. Well done]

"Three more days," said the soothing voice of Therapist Ka'renn. Ze was always so
