Challenge #03846-J194: Sharp Choice

A being tries to tempt Wraithvine with a special wish, a test. Their ultimate dream would come true. But is the cost of an innocent soul worth it? -- Anon Guest

Immortals are truly hard to tempt, especially if they've been at it long enough. The wants of mortality fade away as time renders them irrelevant.

Mortals die. Oceans rise. Empires fall. Change occurs and little can stop it. Wants fade away as beauty can be found anywhere, friendship is temporary, and the immortal learns to suffice with the most basic of accommodations.

A few kings throwing one in the oubliette a few times will do that to one. However, Lord Darkbolt of Myrandor believed he had something that might grab an immortal's attention.

They put a knockout in the tea they served to everyone, and left a note of apology by the sleeping forms. A tear slid down a tired face, weapons strapped on, this would be the last battle. Live or die, the danger would finally be over. But this time, their friends would be spared, they would face it alone. -- Anon Guest

Promise Hardbattle had made the tea ceremony a ritual before facing any enemy. He and his friends sharing one last

En un lugar del barco hecho para la tripulación, el humano colocó suaves peluches casi tan grandes como el humano para consolarlos. -- Anon Guest

[AN: Translated to English - In a place on the ship made for the crew, the human placed soft stuffed animals almost as large as the human to comfort them.]

Humans are hard, they can withstand many things that would end other Galactics. Humans are soft, and appreciate comfort and companionship. Of course they are the Alliance's

They sit in the corner of the establishment slowly nursing their drink and working on an intricate puzzle. When the bar fight starts, a person falls on the table disrupting the puzzle. The whole place holds its breath, but the person, this time, is allowed to walk away, safely. If there's a fight, do NOT bug the person sitting with that puzzle. -- Anon Guest

Challenge #03842-J190: Agent of Restraint

If you want someone dead, you send out Pax Humanis. You want someone captured alive, you send someone like me to join the Pax Humanis member. I have one job, to remind them that the target is to be brought in alive. Most of the very experienced members have learned enough to avoid killing targets when need be, but, well, sometimes the younger ones need reminders. -- Anon Guest

My name is Maan, and I'm a Leash. Not 'leech' like so many

One slip of the wrong kind of drink, and those pirates will be on the toilet for hours. While they do that, let's tow this disabled boat to the authorities! -- Anon Guest

"Did you like my alcohol?" said Trader Shan, twiddling with his own fingers. "You got everything from the crate marked Special Reserve, VIP's Only right?"

"First thing," said the guard. "We had a good old booze-up on your elite overlords' expense."

"Such a pity. Nice knowing you all," said

A dying human with a kind heart had been given a Wishing Stone. Clutched in the elderly hand, they made their wish. All children, especially infants, in their world abandoned in middens, abandoned in the forests, or otherwise left to die in would vanish from the place that would otherwise be their deathbeds, and reappear in a place there they could be safe and grow up cared for. That final wish, cost them their final breath, but they died peacefully knowing many

A family asks Wraithvine and hir companions if they would be godparents to their children. -- Anon Guest

"Not many people want a Faekindred goodparent[1]," Wraithvine said. "Many of those with origins in Nanogh are... quixotic to say the best of it."

"I know I am," said the Brauniin, popping into visibility as ze leaned over the babies in the cradle. "My blessings come out as curses, it's a whole thing. You might not want me in the equation to be

Challenge #03838-J186: Pax Nuptias or Pax Infernus

The two want to wed, their countries are at war, their love, forbidden. Then they get the idea of how to end the war. Pretend to suggest political marriages, pretend to be reluctant, trick their families to do what will end the war, and allow their love. -- Anon Guest

There'd been far fewer wars since Pax Infernus began. The nations fearful of the Demon Lord resorted to icy politeness and sports matches. Wars of words carried on between bitter enemies, florid

Challenge #03837-J185: That's Their Mistake

They had them in, of all things, a bird cage. They were NOT a bird, not exactly anyway. Idiots left the door open. Wasn't long before the enemy was drugged, hog-tied, and an SOS was being sent out for a rescue. -- Anon Guest

Také could be willing to believe these people had made an honest mistake. It was a world uninhabited by cogniscent life when the other party stunned him and locked him in here. On the other hand, they could

"I thought you were a Master of Shadows," sneered Shea, they were not impressed by any of this. Least of all the half-hour wait while Master Kosh meditated in a sunbeam. "Aren't they meant to be assassins?"

Thirty floors, tons of traps and treasures, good thing this place is good for training beginners though. -- Anon Guest

Some have called it the worst dungeon in Alfarell. There's thousands of ways to get in. There's even more ways to get out, especially if you're not fussy about how clean you are when you reach the sunlight. Some say the labyrinths of Skymire's fallen city were never meant to be a dungeon. Some say that adventuring down there is a scam.
