Challenge #04068-K050: Non-Toxic, Hazardous

The male knomira screamed at the guard to move aside, he knew what he was doing. The guard grinned to himself and did so. The knomira ended up on his backside, though really it was only his ego that was harmed. To be fair, the guard DID warn him that they still needed to clean up the rest of the spilled, slippery but otherwise relatively harmless, lubricant. -- Anon Guest

"How can a harmless chemical spill block off an entire walkway? What are you trying to hide? If it's that harmless, why seal off this area? What's hazardous about it?" The Deregger tourist seemed to only one volume setting, which was the top of his lungs. Noise complaints were already coming in about his booming tirade of questions.

Security Officer Oyle, hands clasped behind her back, weathered the rant with the patience of Buddha. She simply stated, "The chemical itself causes no harm to respiritory, digestive, or nervous systems. Nor does it cause harm in contact with the skin. It has covered a significant portion of the floor--"

He interrupted, talking as if he thought Oyle was mentally defective. "Du-u-u-ur. That's where spills hap-pen. I ne-e-e-ed to get to my ap-point-ment. Yo-o-ou are not al-lowed to block my pro-gress."

Monday, Waiting Game

Tale Foundry is doing the backup reads right now. I'm thinking about what I can do for the next prompt. And I am doing everything to stretch what we have until we can afford to get more.

Mayhem ribs me on my compulsive need to oversupply the house with things. It's times like this that that comes in handy.

Fingers crossed, we have money tomorrow. Which will mean we have a little breath of fresh air, economically speaking.

If not... I continue

Challenge #04067-K049: Named Helper

As immortal as the "Living God" known as Wraithvine, he had lost his name due to his selfishness. Learning to be kind and giving, he gained a new name after a long time of lessons, and now taught as he was taught, the lessons of warmth, and using his magic to comfort and aid those in need. And, of course, was always grateful in the times his mentor visited to check up on him.

Sunday, Delay, Delay, Delay...

I cancelled VTTRPG so I could be cogniscent enough to drive. I woke up at 3AM anyway 9_9 BUT also got some extra sleeps in between then and about 5.

Messaged my lovelies about the anticipated meet-up so I can cuddle Beloved for the remains of the weekend. Which is getting to fewer and fewer hours as time ticks by.

Update - just got the news that Beloved is still feeling the downside of her new meds. If pay is incoming

Challenge #04066-K048: The Illogical Solution

CEO -- "Why do you not have any guns??"

"We don't need them."

CEO -- "How do you stop criminals??"

"We have special firearms that shoot out discs that latch onto the body and cause > the person to faint, safely, no matter the species. This way no one gets hurt and we can capture the prisoner unharmed."

CEO aghast "That's so... SOFT! They'll re-offend!"

"Not often, not once we're done with them." -- Anon Guest

Saturday, Interference With PLNs

Parkrun is flooded. Beloved is laid low with her meds. I am staying on the Keto Wagon for all the hours that my Beloved is not with me.

I got some Stencyl refinements in, but there's little things that still annoy me about the final product.

I did try to get the ship to be hurt when the enemy hits them, but things are going askew with that. For example: My player ship spontaneously blew up on the last test.

Solve later.

Challenge #04065-K047: A Funny Thing Happened Along the Way...

"At that point, Chain's regular therapist arrived. Out of breath and disheveled. "Sorry! Sorry. There was a thing with a herd of Cleaners and some knomira Dereggers and a kid with a lollipop... and... an accordion..." ze trailed off. "Oh. We're going to need tea and smooth carob and the big soft room."

Well. At least there was a foreseeable moment in which they would all laugh about it later."

Ok, NOW both Chains, the security officer, and therapy assist Threemoon Gudboi

Friday, Let Me Check My Notes

Day firkin FOUR of my GD cyclone headache and at least the painkillers are helping. My bread turned out a little bit doughy and I think I know where I went wrong.

I forgot one of my folding processes just before the long proof.

Then again, I was very much disorganised this week. Distracted, diverted, and delayed in almost all my PLNs.

This effort of bread has way more visible chia in it because the chia I bought has a lot of

Challenge #04064-K046: Health and Safety Inspection

This blacksmith's shop is renowned not only for its skilled craftsmen, but also for how well their forges are fired. It doesn't hurt that two of the master smiths are humans in dragon form, and the third who owns the shop is a dragon who doesn't like shifting, but has no problem sharing their flame. -- Anon Guest

[AN: I think OP meant "Dragons in Human form" so I shall be running with that idea]

They call the place Featherforge, because these

Thursday, Bread at Last!

I awoke to the smell of smoke. Turns out Mayhem had forgotten chicken bites in the oven until they became charcoal briquettes. Whoops. I can't critique too much because I forgot to set off the timer to warm up my bread properly.

I also just now realised that I forgot to set it in the tins for the final proof BRB.

Okay. Now that the dough's been properly bothered, I've reset the timer. It's not going to do any harm to heat

Challenge #04063-K045: Something in the Ingredients List

Companion. "Why do you have nothing but bland bags of nutrifood in here? You know there's a lot more you're allowed to have."

Human. "I know, but anything else just keeps coming back up on me. This, at least, stays down."

Companion. "Medics seen you about this?"

Human. "Um..." -- Anon Guest

Humans, as Deathworlders, are very bad at recognising that they could be in slow dangers. They have a knack for harming themselves in ways they can ignore for decades. Some

Wednesday, Wordpress and Bread

I have a disrupted sleep schedule of late. I've already been awake since half-past midnight. I surrendered to consciousness at roughly two in the morning and got my stretchies and treatments done by half-past four.

I am doing all this with a cyclone headache. Just so you know.

I also have Wilson, my wholemeal starter, incubating for four hours and some set up for the upcoming bread.

Even if Mayhem needs a lift to the station, I should be cool to be

Challenge #04062-K044: One for the Halls of Heroes

He had, reluctantly, killed many all to save a child's life. He saved many more in both penance for his crimes, and the desire to undo the darkness he caused. The gods weighed him in judgement, and, memories intact, he was allowed rebirth. Allowed to know a new path, where he could continue to help others before they, too, could fall into darker lives.

Tuesday, Patreon, Tyres, and More Delays

I was planning to start on new bread today. Have some nice fresh loaves by tomorrow night. That's delayed.

Because I am getting the TYRES!

For way less than the price my Beloved gave me. And that even includes some service for the others. Huzzah.

All for less than the initial price of one tyre that I was given. Bonus.

On the other hand, I have my day split because those new tyres are going in close to midday. Hooray.

I will

They really did not give me a choice here. I mean, I did my best to behave and sit still... but those little claws all over me, up and down my shirt... how could I sit still...
