Friday, Shenanigans Ahoy

It's another sleepover tonight, so we can go together to a closer parkrun tomorrow, so we can get our hair did later in the day... so we can be all done up relatively fancy at the Meet The Fam thing on Sunday.

...huzzah...

It's another thing I'm nervous about, so I heartily expect to be exhausted on the following Monday.

I didn't even know I was stressed on Wednesday night until I fell over and slept through most of yesterday. It'll be the same thing for sure. Apparently fine on the day, useless lump on the day after.

But it shall get done. And move forward with whatever happens next.

I'll suffer afterwards, but only for one day. It's acceptable to me.

Thursday, Game Night and Fun Times

The QPP went out to watch The Little Mermaid. The unnecessary live action remake version of it.

Make no mistake, Halley Bailey does amazing work in this film. It is not her fault that she's been acting against soulless CGI puppets and one guy who can't really sing.

I was not impressed by the Seemingly Mandatory Lin Manuel Miranda rap. And it's not his fault that the corporate mouse owns his soul.

Monday, Nebulous PLNs

Charlie 3 is having his official birthday bash today and people are not allowed to complain about how their kids are starving during the multi-billion-dollar events that are sure to be going on.

But that's apparently okay because of the one-sixteenth of British economy derived from tourists and tabloids devoted to the royals 9_9

Friday, Ongoing PLNs

Beloved is off on adventures that include a journey far afield. Which means that I may be doing parkrun tomorrow all on my only. It's a possibility that Miss Chaos may not wish to do the thing tomorrow morning.

So far, bribing her with hot chocolate and brunch afterwards seems to be working.

Wish it'd work on Mayhem. His problem is the covered shoe requirement. My lad has wide feet, and it's difficult to get a fit that doesn't get at him

I forgot what day it was. Something about napping during a day makes me lose track of time.

The good news is that I was there for the Foundry's backup reads. And now I shall be going henceforth to do the offerings.

Tuesday, Onwards with the Offerings

Yesterday was a marathon.

  • Load the car with the full orange bags ready for a cans run
  • Get ready for the day, including Torture Shoes for the betterment of my train wreck body
  • Do the Tale Foundry backup reads
  • Take off for a long, long drive to the cans place
  • Two trips with the trolley to cash in all the cans, come up $20 shorter than normal because someone didn't crush their containers
  • Offski to Costco to fetch TP and Nori

I spent another night alone because Beloved was off helping Friendo Awesome fend off a house inspection yesterday.

I get to cuddle her again when she gets home at noonish.

And that I shall enjoy.

I shall be working on my offerings via stream today. Just as soon as TaleFoundry has finished the reads.

I might even write a little bit of a chapter at a later hour. Speaking of...

Saturday, Parkrun and Game PLNs

I managed to get Miss Chaos to come with, though she had to sit at the first bench. She gave it a good go and we shall see whether she's amenable next week.

Looks like KIABIL is super un-enthusiastic about doing the parkrun. He's not really scheduling his rest cycles to make sure he can participate.

ANYway. I have offerings to make, and some WIP to write and perhaps some dwarves to micromanage.

The wholemeal starter, known in house as Wilson, will be retiring to the freezer today. I have run out of the wholemeal flour to feed it with. Henceforth, only the "Instructions" starter will be part of my routine. Until I run out of flour.

Tale Foundry cancelled for health reasons, so I'm streaming early. Thereafter, I shall post and then slack off for the remains of the day.

A hot bath may yet be in order.

The downside of going out for Bath Bombs is that I'll also have to wear the Torture Shoes because fucking bone spurs need correcting again. OTOH maybe the place isn't open by the time I'm done with my bullshit.

We got the parkrun done, and I managed to sleep until the early afternoon.

I am on call to read for a friend, so that's going to take up most of the day.
