Challenge #04301-K283: Weaponised Mythological Resemblance

Humans can be born with "Throwback Traits". Tails are not unheard of. But imagine the shock of the enemy, when the space marine bares their teeth at them, only to show they have deadly-looking fangs. Yes, even the most otherwise ordinary human can end up with fangs when they grow their normal adult teeth. -- Fighting Fit

There was something amiss with Human Eef, though it wasn't immediately noticable. They seemed shy, covering their mouth when they laughed or smiled. Preferring to eat in their habitat. They were softly spoken most of the time, rarely raising their voice.

Companion Drask worried about it sometimes. Dreading the moment that a Deathworlder decided to prove themselves by taking on a Human in some display of superiority.

The dread moment came in a spaceport in the Edge Territories, where such things were far more commonplace. It was an old dance, known as early as pre-Shattering Terran dramas. The opponent attempted to raise Eef's ire with insults and swaggering, both of which Eef defused by agreeing with her.

Wednesday, Rant Day and Psych Day

I just have myself a really firkin crowded week. I'm glad I took the days off to start with. Powers know I don't have the time to relax until next gorram week.

If I'm lucky.

What I have been able to achieve is a source of free sounds to use in Pseuducku. Just for button clicks. I'll be recording duck noises for the game at a later date.

Much later. When I've figured out all the nonsense behind making the buttons do

Challenge #04300-K282: Synthetic Hymnal

Grandpa 7094 had a very impressive career. NASA, MIT, and the Mitsubishi Nuclear Power Plant were just a few of the organizations where he provided invaluable data. But ask him his proudest achievement, he'll say without hesitation it was learning to sing Daisy Bell. Because it's the one that makes his grandchildren smile. -- Anon Guest

[AN: For those unaware, speech synthesis is older than you think. The instant Humanity put speakers on computers, they started trying to make them communicate]

Tuesday, Car Service

It's going to cost me a new pair of sandshoes. For reference, decent sandshoes that will actually help failfeet like mine cost upwards of half a grand.

This is on the low end of that "upwards" but it's still a sock in the gut.

I began today with a massive cyclone headache at 2AM and it's not looking that great for the rest of the day. Painkillers taken, but not yet kicking in. I have to wait until I have my bread

Challenge #04299-K281: Slow Escape From Bland

A deregger rescue with tons of issues keeps "losing their meals" each time they eat anything other than bland nutrifood. Not on purpose, their body's just that messed up. The Gyiik temple are determined to find something the person can eat without losing it, by the powers! But this is one tough case, even for them. -- Anon Guest

Gyiiks react in horror when they discover the existence of no-flavour Nutrifood. Given that the product is a scientifically-calculated balance of essential nutrients,

Monday, Public Holiday and Patreon

I posted what I have to offer. Which isn't a lot. Procrastination is my copilot and some degree of exhaustion is at the helm.

Soon, I'll be making my offerings unto the internet. Also, I shall be making bread with the help of the spawn. Because I already borked my wrists by walking with a cane.

I'm cancelling my story streams because schedule issues.

And spending as much time as possible on things I enjoy after that.

The sooner Mayhem has his

Challenge #04298-K280: Suspected Supply Issue

A gyiik individual finds themselves crash-landed with several humans. Food stores are low, though plenty of water, and unable to go out to gather more. Worst part? The humans kept refusing to eat, saying "they could wait a few days" -- Anon Guest

They're hiding something from me. I know it. We survived a "cheese grater" crash-landing[1] in relatively good shape. Few souls lost, they said, in conditions where nothing could be done. The air was breathable. The water easily potable.

Sunday, So Tired

My foot firkin HATES me, so I'm highly motivated to stay off it. And I've also realised how much I've left by the wayside this week gone. My brain has been fixated with attempts to remain organised and as a result, I've let a lot of other things go by the wayside.

I gotta bake - my loaves have gone mouldy. I gotta feed my Starter. I gotta go shopping... I gotta make my daily offerings.

And I would much rather take

Saturday, Parkrun and Bifdy Bash

For those unaware, 'bifdy' is a uniquely Aussie corruption of the word 'birthday'. I'm moderately certain that most people know that 'bash' is slang for 'party' but... if you didn't? Today You Learned.

I like spreading knowledge.

Aaaanyway...

Chaos and I are doing parkrun with Beloved and Adorable in the morning, possibly brunching together. Then I go home, roust the kiddos into jooshing up for the evening, as well as grooming myself to be fancy for the night.

Challenge #04296-K278: Essential Parts

They turned off their machines, crawled into bed after turning off the light and slept. And Dreamed. The wizard in their dream introduced themselves as Wraithvine, and smiled. "So, what is your time like?" "A time of peace, I guess, lots of hard work, but, meh, not so bad." -- Anon Guest

[AN: Are you trying to tie my universes together, Nonny? It doesn't work like that. Alfarell has a history incongruent with Amalgam Universe. That glue won't stick]

Friday, Happy Birthday to Me!

As a gentle reminder, you can now obtain your free copy of The World Will Not Miss... from every ebook retailer that doesn't upmark my ideal price of $0.00

Because I insist this story is free. For everybody. For the rest of time.

I'd understand a markup to "cost" if it was in the dead tree version, but... it isn't. It's all electrons. Those bits can be flipped for amazingly cheap.

I am indulging in carbage and planning on enjoying myself

Challenge #04295-K277: Kindness Comes in Handy

The adult giant was nearly 10 ft tall, kinda short for their kind. Their parentals, humans, lived near the massive cottage where the giant lived. When asked by other giants why "bugs were allowed here", the giant angrily would state "Don't you dare insult my parents!" -- Anon Guest

Others of hir kind called hir 'Shrimp' because ze was only twice the height of the average Human. Small for Giantkind. Hir real name was Elianto, and her parents loved and cherished hir.

Thursday, PLNs of Inaction

Today, Powers Help Me, I am going to make a button. It will not be functional, but it will be added to the layout of the 4x4 grid for later programming, bells, and/or whistles.

I am also going to make a phone call. I honestly don't know which is more harrowing.

Then I'll take the rest of the day off to mess around in Satisfactory. I'll have earned it by then.

In the meantime, my daily offerings shall be flowing forth
