Challenge #03117-H208: Incidental Damages

"Aw, c'mon! We're all human here, you can loose the livesuit."

"I have a potentially contagious skin condition. Sharing this? NOT caring."

"Oh. Uh. Oh."

"Yes, I've been to medical. Yes, it's being treated. And yes, the itching is slowly driving me insane." -- Escla

"Is it related to the livesuit or--" Roy trailed off. How to politely ask how someone caught something they couldn't help was not in the Social Ed classes. He was at a loss, and circled his hand around the verbal void.

"Remember that Deregger stopover planet I came from?" Dex absently scratched, causing his livesuit to squeak annoyingly. "They had a pool. I made the mistake of thinking it was safe to go swimming."

Roy winced. "Ooof. Yeah. Never trust anything from a Deregger stopoff. How's it progressing?"

Challenge #03090-H182: Baby on Board

A Human toddler is flying for their first time with their parents. They'd never been off-world before and they were excited. The toddler was being brought to a medical facility on a station for a surgical procedure, though as active as they are people would never realize they were sick. With them were several Havenworlders including one who looked for all the world like a large, fluffy, bipedal canine in basic ship's skins. Problem is, the toddler would not stop trying to

Challenge #03037-H114: The Learning Process

Ad astra per aspera -- Anon Guest

[AN: My old primary school motto was Per Ardua Ad Astra - by effort to the stars. If I read this correctly, this means "To the stars by breath" ::googles:: Almost. "Through the rough" not "by breath". Was I close?]

Groundbreaking travel, as the name suggests, is fraught with unforeseen perils. The first person to hang onto the back of a horse or an ox had no idea what they were in for. The first

I'm on my way... soon

So here's the PLN:

1) Take my pills [done!]
2) Write this blog [almost there]
3) Gather all my shit into one place and start the long-arse journey to Tullagawupwup [not there at all]

I've packed most of my stuff. I've got clothes, pills, the basic tech I need to be mobile and keep y'all up with my nonsense. I made certain I have that one trinket I've been obsessing about.

...I have my hopes that the Vestigial Arsehole - aka the

Welp. I'm buggering off...

Farewell US, farewell, Tucson. Farewell, all the amazing fun times I had here. I hope to return, but I know the realities of budgetary constraints and... I might not ever come back.

However, if Beloved wants to spend their frequent flier miles on another trip to see Steam Powered Giraffe... I will never never never say no. Best present ever. 100/10 would do again in a cold second.

And I have a bloody good cosplay to take with me if I

EEEEEEEEE....

OK so just on the red line, a very nice Onigiro volunteered hir brother for carpooling. Some, if not all of my candy may already be spoken for.

And this dawn, Beloved volunteered to drive my humble self to the airport so we don't have to fret about parking fees. And I don't have to worry about my car getting stolen or "Borrowed" Ferris Beuller(?) style.

[Though what anyone would want with a joyride in my crappy little car... I have no

LUGGAGE!

Ok so I'm only allowed one small suitcase and one carry-on.

The small suitcase is BARELY big enough to hold the hatbox.

If I'm careful about how I pack, I can fit a lot of my cosplay extras in with the hat.

BUT - the makeup containers I have are too messy to go in with the hat [maybe if I ziplocked them into baggies?] and too big to go down the sides with other, more compactable things.

There's no real room

Dry run day today

It’s Friday. The last school day before I’m off to strange lands.

So, of course, I’m making Hubby do everything I usually do whilst I’m here to supervise ‘cause I’m a paranoid B.

So far he’s woken up Chaos [Autistic, age 6] to come on a walk with him, Mayhem and the hound, and then left her lag behind 'cause I was there to hold her hand. Not encouraging,

Now the internet is fixed...

I’m not diverting the ponies. They have served their purpose in keeping a nice, long queue for me.

Besides, I’m likely to fill up my queue with Thailand stuff anyway.

Got Hubby to walk the dog with me, this morning. As always, his ideas of hound control and mine differ greatly. And as always, his are super effective. When I get back, I’m going to have to use them.

In the great field of canid-related expenses,

I'm leaving... on a jet plane...

I know when I’ll be back again.

Give yourself five geek points if you sang along, and ten if you yelled at the screen because I used the wrong words :)

Today’s the day. I’m headed overseas for the first time in my life.

And I’m a bundle of nerves that’s so bad that each of my nerves is a bundle of nerves and each of those nerves is nearly having a nervous

So I've arranged a little something in my queue...

Basically, I had nothing to write, yesterday [27th Feb] and queued up all my attempts at Doctor Whooves care of Generalzoi’s pony maker flash-toy. Then I found out I did have something to say and had to rearrange things.

‘Cause who wants eleven days of ponies before you get to find out stuff?

…okay, so some folks might want to see it. Desperately. I can promise you it’s not that magical. Really.

So from now on,
