Realm of the InterNutter

Thoughts, stories and ideas.

Day 5 of mail-watching

internutter:

Yep. The postal system has lost track of my parcel.

Highly sarcastic yay. With a pile of WTF on the side.

I know for a fact that a postal plane can not stay aloft for 24 hours or longer, so it’s highly likely that my copy of Vice Quadrant is in this country.

Either today, or Monday, I get it in my grabby little hands.

And THEN, my dear readers, I will turn into a ravening, foaming, weeabot spoilerbeast and liveblog my reactions and scatterbrained theories. Under a cut and appropriately tagged, of course.

You have been warned.

I can’t not share something I adore.

Yeah turns out I’m not getting it today.

I have to wait until Monday before I have a chance.

Boo…

The Pyro Plague had finally run its course. The only plants left to make the air marginally breathable were the ones that were too toxic for the Plague to attack. Which was nice for those plants, but not so great for the humans who needed them to live.

Of course, the people revolted against the companies who had made the plague possible. And who insisted on monocultures of food crops, genetically engineered to be delicious. When the plague

kirbily:

I got it for my niece for her birthday and it’s super freaking cute, I love it!

It’s called “Interstellar Cinderella” by Deborah Underwood and illustrated by Meg Hunt.

So yeah, it’s a Cinderella story, but it’s also so much more.

Basically Cinderella fixes stuff around her step mom’s house, but really she wants to fix rocket ships!

There’s this spaceship parade that Cinderella’s family is invited to see, but she’s not allowed

Have fun!

The haughty Meyahndan in gold-coloured hunting leathers sneered down her nose at Pol. “We are Felids,” she said, showing her claws by tapping her fist against the opposite shoulder. “We are never unarmed.”

Why did her first day have to happen during an Ambassadorial Meet? “One moment,” she said, consulting the manual. Ah. Meyahndese. Yes. “Uhm. It says you have to have a permit? Otherwise you have to clip them short.”

She hissed

Day 4 of mail-watching

My copy of Vice Quadrant has moved into LA, and then out of LA.

The last time I ordered anything, this is where the tracking system failed to keep track of it. Tomorrow(at the latest), it will be in Brisbane. Then I have an entire weekend of anguish because nobody in Australia Post works during the weekends.

Tracking it locally is no help. I’ve tried. AusPost just does not deign to signify dirty foreign mail. Euuuuw…

Even our postal
