Thinking about how to do fibre

So I think I might have perfected the cake-like object from the Keto coconut bread. And since I don't really like a lot of my bread...

I'm thinking about making some choc-chip fibre muffins.

The only drawback to this is that the local Foodways has stopped selling the BEST EGGS IN THE WORLD, Peepers Cheepers [or Cheepers Peepers, I forget which way around it is], the totally organic and ethical free range eggs. In favour of non-organic, non-ethical firkin CAGE EGGS which should be banned by the geneva convention.

And since we're nearly out of eggs, that means that if I want to make my fibre muffins, I have to haul my lazy arse all the way out to North Lakes to get some decently firkin ethical goddamn eggs. At four times the price.

Which, frankly speaking, is going to fuck over my plans for saving up. The New Compy Fund is going to be a little ahead, this week, but next week? Not so much.

If it weren't for asthma, I'd be raising my own chooks and getting my own eggs. Of course, we'd need to repair the fence, which is, alas, also organic and returning to the earth.

Apparently, we need our Tesla power wall before we can start the whole aquaponics thing. We have that paid and on order. To arrive somewhere in November. I've already laid bets on mid February. Because, amazing as it sounds, the people of Australia really want to switch to alternative energies. You know, despite the government taking loads of money from the coal industry and saying that coal is the cleanest, most efficient energy ever made, bla bla lie lie bla.

I've also learned that a carrier pigeon can have more bandwidth than ADSL. Which might be a serious plan if the NBN doesn't get a rattle on.

Kidding.

Did some more work on SESP, but not publishing because I think it's getting boring. Here's Rabbit riding an invisible motorcycle. Here's three different frames of flappy hair. Here's three more frames of flappy hair. Oh look I did her tails and ribbons flapping too. Snore.

And I still have to unriddle that mask problem. But I don't want to because it's so heartbreaking and I'd much rather fart around on Minecraft and listen to The Adventure Zone.

Ugh. I gotta make myself do it.

But, on the plus side, Beloved and I are going to go see the new Kingsman movie. I think. Some movie, anyway. Super fun.

Finances, Fucked up, and Fuckassery

I'm still hovering around the halfway mark with the New Compy Fund. If I clean everything out at once, I'm just past halfway there at $1.8K and this is because my automatic payment to my personal funds got cancelled because I took it out of the wrong account.

It's sorted out, now. Don't fret.

And I forget how I got through $210 out of my emergency funds, but it was probably food or clothes.

My scrimpings are up by $340 thanks

Rush'd

Okay, so Chaos has a fun run event at her school, I have the cleaners coming, and I have seven minutes before I have to go out and watch for the bus.

Don't expect a story before this afternoon.

I have 1000 words to write, which will happen after everything else, and my $20 patrons will have the finish of the last chapter and the beginnings of a new chapter to read! WOW!

Almost Holidays

There's today and tomorrow until two weeks' worth of slacking off, so of course both my little darlings are trying various tactics to get that time off early.

Mayhem is trying the "oh I'm sick, I'm dying, I need to stay home five-ever" routine. Quickly kiboshed with the household thermometer. Chaos was a little bit more clever and insisted I missed a day. Going to the extreme of pointing out a missing day in the communications book. This missing day was (a)

Getting Sorted

I have my Hallows' Read story finished and in Beta. I don't have to clean, today. So some part of today will be spent on 'shopping up a cover for that sordid and horrific tale.

I'm montaging references for the cover of Beauties and the Beastly, tracing what I can and deciding where I'm going to use pattern brushes1. But I'm going to take a break from the cover, today so I can devote my time and energy to some more

Feast Day

It's Mayhem's 16th birthday, today. And we're having a feast day. Which means lots of fast food for Mayhem and just about anything my little darlings want to eat during the day.

I'll be a bit more conservative, but today will definitely include cake.

And today is a cleaning day without the influence of the cleaners, because our main lady is crook, today. Which means loads of self-discipline on my part.

And I'm not arting this morning. Because I'm taking everyone around

Tech Support Today

I wear a lot of hats, some days. Primary Parental duties take care of most of them, but there's also the whole author/illustrator/sometimes-musician thing going on.

I'm a video editor, low-level IT expert, and occasional therapist as well. In my spare time.

And lately, I've been teaching myself how to use Adobe Animate. Fun stuff.

And I have a LOT of ideas on the back-burner. I have so much back-burner it's amazing I even have a front-burner. I get most

Slow-ish start

It's the weekend, and despite our best-laid PLNs to finish tidying up the yard rubbish, it's almost 11AM and my Beloved has yet to get out of bed.

Not that I'm enamoured of heavy lifting, per se, but I'd rather get the onerous stuff over with, you know?

But I have done my Instant first and I plan to nudge Beloved after I'm done with the advertising cycle.

Beloved's doing a three-day fast, starting yesterday. That's their pln. For the uninitiated, fasting

Relative lassitude

Completely forgot about a parental/teacher talk, yesterday. A process that involved me derping about it and then a mad dash up to Chaos' school to talk about stuff in relation to her education.

Since they're doing poetry and rhyming, I was able to sell Steam Powered Giraffe to one of the teachers there. I might be making some more fans, sometime soon.

It'll be so much fun to have someone to nerd out with.

Today, for a change, I have nothing

Another busy day

Visiting relatives. In an effort to prevent the day-after colliwobbles, I'm packing my own food and drink. Two bottles of filtered water. Two bottles of Keto Sports. Boiled eggs. Cheese. And some chicken if Chaos hasn't devoured it all.

If not, there should be some salami sticks left.

If not that, then I'm just going to have cheese and eggs all firkin day. I'll see what veggies we have and do something with them so I can have fibre. This won't be

Nyoom

Can't really indulge my desire to space out and chillax, today. Today, I am MeMum's transit system on the quest for curtains.

Australia's arsehole tax laws declare that, if you get a pension or are retired, they will tax you on what they reckon you've got if you're over a certain limit. This is called 'deeming' and seems to be based entirely on what a smart rich person who knows how to evade taxes completely would do with that amount of money.

PLNs, Disasters, and other mishaps

This weekend, I had PLNs to clear out the garage at long firkin last. I also have PLNs to visit MeMum and sort out a few things over there.

So of course Beloved gets a lurgi and MeMum says wait until tomorrow.

Never mind, though. I have slightly more time to do the Instant, and faff about a little before everyone wakes up. Which, in this case, means watching YouTube and colouring in more frames for my Sleep Evil Sleep project.

Not stopping

I'm just about run off my bum, today.

I have a corner to unfuck, which I will be doing on the 20-10 plan with a side order of Keep-Pass-Toss. Both of these are very useful unfucking strategies which I will explain below.

Keep-Pass-Toss

Basically, you sort your one pile of crap into three smaller piles:

  1. Keep for whatever reason
  2. Pass it along (donate somewhere or freecycle or ebay it)
  3. Toss it out

Three smaller piles are easier to deal with than one

Semi-big plns

I'm unfucking Mayhem's room, today, which involves shifting a set of drawers so that random crap doesn't fall between it and the wall ever again. I expect to be suitably ratted by the end of the day.

Especially since this is Wednesday and also Rowing Day.

I definitely have to slow down my writing for a bit of a while, or do voice-to-text (which sucks arse) because my wrists are acting up again. It's possibly a deficiency in something that will likely

I have half an hour...

And 90% of my shit is definitely not done. Thanks to a very busy weekend, there's crap on the counter that should have been put away, stuff that should have been washed, and a fine layer of dust from when I haven't wiped it all down.

And I have half an hour to make a story happen or y'all have to wait until the afternoon.

Thanks to a visit to Mum-in-law, I have asthma creeping up on me. She's very much anti-keto
