Challenge #04552-L168: One Being's Treasure...

A being argued that the eternal elf Wraithvine likely kept massive amounts of gold and gems, huge amounts of treasures kept away from those desperately in need. Surely an immortal being of such power likely was a greedy as the rest of them! The person snarled over their drink.

Then a soft voice spoke up to say, "Would you like to see my treasury?" And shocked the sullen drinker with a treasury of what seemed like mere junk to most, but were the most precious objects in the world to that being. -- Anon Guest

"Run around forever and you get everything," grumbled the barfly. "Stands to reason. Dragons have hoards. Elves sit on one patch of property and just suck in wealth. Never need to spend 'cause they already got everything. D'varuv have entire rooms made of gems. Immortals gotta have a fuckin' ton of treasure. Selfish bastards."

Ordinarily, this diatribe would be allowed to continue until the barfly either ran out or passed out. Not this time.

"I know where to find one immortal's treasures," said the stranger. They wore a patchwork Wizarding hat and appeared at first glance to be a crossbred Elf. Otherwise, they were an unassuming figure. Clothing made to last, and perhaps a couple of centuries behind the current fashion. Typical for an Elf. "You're going to be disappointed, though."

Tuesday, Shrink Day and Mor Bread

On the plus side, the kids like my bread. On the minus side, I have to make way more bread. Starting today.

I'm going to get Miss Chaos to do the majority of the nonsense. Because she eats a majority of the bread. And get more flour next shopping trip.

Maybe three batches of bread will last an entire firkin week. Or maybe the spawn will view it as a challenge. Only one way to find out.

The elderly who had none to care for them in this village were more than cast out. They were set at the edge of a village in a little hut that had naught but a couple thin, rough beds a couple flagons of water, stale bread, and little else. Friday, Mor Bread and Education

I have taught Chaos how to shape a loaf. We'll be trying again in about five hours when it's time to shape the next one. I might have to puppet her hands since watch-and-learn didn't quite cut it.

Thursday, Bread Double Play and Stuff

I spent a lot of time debugging game layout in Cursor, yesterday. The plus side is that I have most of the layout organised. Today, amongst the many other things I have PLN'd, I am double-dosing the bread ritual. I have the starter incubating as the first loaf proofs.

Tuesday, Catching Up and Roof Nonsense

There's a mob giving our roof an inspection for hail damage. It's free, but I can see the fishhook from a mile off.
