Challenge #04655-L271: Improper Parcel Preparation

What happens to a poor postal worker delivering a package some idiot wrote “Non-Flammable” on, even though the contents are VERY LIKELY to spontaneously burst into flames? -- Deathshead419

As far as Lyle was concerned, this parcel was plastered with overly specific denials. All hand-written over every possible space. Not flammable, they said, Definitely won't spontaneously combust. It was also laid all over with "Handle With Care" and "Fragile" stickers. One of the hand-written warnings, in worrying crayon, said, Store it in cool, dry place.

There was only one conclusion.

This parcel was packed and labled by an idiot. A very specific degree of idiocy that read all the cautions and the ever-growing list of things that people weren't allowed to send by the mail, and figured straight-up lying would let them get away with this horseshit.

Monday, Things Overdue

I need to prep a video. I need to write two stories for the price of one. Fortunately, I've already added into A Devil's Tale so that's one less thing to fret about.

I just spent a majority of my day shopping so I might not get the video done.

And I have to go to the quacks to get a prescription for my preventer. Because my extant scrip expired. Yay. Not. Unfun stuff.

I'll try all the same.

Stories first. After

Sunday, Fixin' Stuff. Huzzah!

I got my lovelies coming over to deal with my ever-extending Honeydew list. I think I might have convinced them by adding a few things to the list in-between asking them about it.

Procrastination regarding the list just means more list.

Kind'a like a lot of my problems, if I think about it too hard. And I try not to because of the headaches I get if I do.

The story and video stuff will be happening after the fix-a-thon. Whenever that

Challenge #04654-L270: Nibelungen Issues With Betting

Oðinn seeks the Rheingold to pay a gambling debt with Perun, but, he’ll need the wisdom of Thoth in Eagypt to pass the stupid tests to get it and he might run into Siddhartha on his way south. -- Deathshead419

[AN: How to piss off a lot of pagans speedrun ;) FWIW, I am not trying to offend. Of all these mentioned in the prompt, the Buddhists are most likely to be cool with the following]

Saturday, A Day of Rest?

I have motivation to make my offerings quickly, today, because Anthill Village has released a demo!

Of course I'm going to record my first play for Peertube. I might even use a few plays for B-roll on my story reads.

I'm still babying my ankle and swearing my way through my knee stretchies in the morning. Trust me folks, start your body maintenance when you're young. It's worse than a bitch to build it back up again.

At least there's some notable

Challenge #04653-L269: Gold Turned to Dross

In the hilly forests of one of the more Tax-Happy Kingdoms a rogue has arisen who steals from the King’s Tax-Collectors and gives to the poor. Yet, more observant folks have noticed that this thief seems to be keeping most of the pilfered wealth. Perhaps Wraithvine (alone or with someone) can help set this would be Robin Hood straight? -- Deathshead419

The castle at the heart of Drichithia was a beautiful crown atop a small mountain, allowing those resident to see

Friday, Seeking Help

I'm looking for assistance from other authors with the secondary All Hallows' Read story that I've managed to produce. I'm trying not to feel the clock ticking at this point.

I don't have to release this thing this year. I can get it perfected, construct the cover, and have it all lined up for next year.

I've got today's Peertube video out. Yay. I've had my dosages. Hooray. I've done my stretchies and cooled off my ankle.

I'm struggling with all other

Challenge #04652-L268: Awakening

Oh my god some of you nasty [Canadian insult] are crazy af and into some nasty [doo doo]; where your dignity? Your self-respect? What’s your number? you free tonight? -- Anon Guest

[AN: I am unfamiliar with Canadian insults. I shall improvise]

One of the fundamental unwritten laws of the universe is this: There is always more to learn about it. Not merely about the stars, galaxies, and all the things therein. But also about the people you share it with.

Thursday, Payday and Prep

I have a video to prepare now so I don't have to rush tomorrow. I have half-hour breaks every two hours to get my dumb injured ankle to literally chill out.

I'm using that time for other creative things on my lappy.

I have the usual nonsense to create for the temple of notes. And the hope of having spare time to enjoy some things.

As for my knee stretchies, I am repeating, "Progress is not linear" like it's a mantra. Translation

Wednesday, Rants and Other Things

I just posted today's Peertube video, I think I might rant about technology this week. Old fool yells at cloud. Again. Maybe when remember-when-tech-was-good palaver.

Slop and mush and reheated rebooted, revamped retro nostalgia. New ideas are scary.

I could have a go at how relative "fire bad" attitudes are.

Just looked up the quote. It's "Technology bad, fire scary, Thomas Edison was a witch." So I'll paraphrase if I get there.

But first - the fiction.

Challenge #04650-L266: Not Fighting Words

"Hey there, you damn teuf!"/ Hey yourself filthy ape!

The two eyed each other, tension thick as treacle. Then a sudden laugh, the two hugged each other, the human grabbing his brothers head and giving the hellkin a noogie! "Stop being gone for so long and WRITE once in a while, you ass, I was worried!"/ Sorry, we were helping rebuild two temples the rockslide wrecked.

Tuesday, Patreon and Nonlinear Progress.

My right leg's doing much better than my left on my chosen knee stretches. In fact, my left leg is a lot worse today. I remind myself that progress is not linear and
I have months in which to improve my knees' ability to withstand bending and walking.

I will get there. It's just going to take a bit of a while.

Another concern is that I've started needing the bracer on my right knee again. I'll talk about it with my

Challenge #04649-L265: Freedom Isn't Free

This was how Deregs start... they had it as a neighborhood association. A way to help each other during emergencies, or when families needed a friend to lean on. But somehow, were tricked, at least some of them, into signing an HOA charter. Those that refused began being harassed, threatened, and then the vandalism began. However, in one house was a person you harass at your own peril. And this whole system was shut down before it really got going. No one

Monday, Ahead of Things?

I'm making progress on my knee exercises. Slow, nonlinear progress, but progress all the same.

Currently enjoying breakfast and waiting for Mayhem to stir himself for the drive towards work.

Soon, the backup reads, the daily shenanigans, and getting the video ready to post because my stupid ass forgot to make it yesterday.

Doing what I can how I can and hoping to heck I have the spoons in order to do it.

...yay
