Middle School Censors Student’s T-Shirt Because It Used The Word ‘Feminist’

An eighth grade student at Clermont Northeastern Middle School in Batavia, Ohio wore a black T-shirt on class photo day which included the word “FEMINIST” written across the shirt in white letters. Yet, while the shirt does not violate any school rule and the student has worn it to classes before, the school chose to doctor her class photo to remove the word.

We need feminism because: This middle school dingus of a Principal thought that the word “feminist” was potentially offensive.

I want to see a copy of that school photo now, just to count how many boys in that picture are wearing sexist and uncensored shirts.

on children. CHILDREN.

It amazes me, how many of you DON’T CARE about Syria. You’ll talk social justice day and long, but when it comes to Muslim children being murdered, suddenly y’all are silent. I see not even ANYWHERE near the amount of discussion and information I should be seeing about this GENOCIDE.

There’s an awkward balance we have to strike between talking about the game details (which engages the fan base, but tends to bury the blog the in text posts) and reminding people that this is a game about housewives fighting zombies and that, above all else, it’s going to be a blast. That makes you cry. A blast that makes you cry. That’s what Aberford will be.

Clergy had the most incredible response to police using Black mugshots for target practice

In December, while visiting a shooting range in Medley, Florida, National Guard Sgt. Valerie Deant came to a horrifying realization: Members of the North Miami Beach police force, who had just left the facility, had been using mugshots of young black men for target practice.

In response, these clergy members created #usemeinstead

Further on the ebooks-tree debacle

Just for kicks, I searched under my pen name. Turns out these arseholes had also stolen one of my pro-books. Hevuns Gate.

You know, out of the ones I’m trying to sell?

So when I filed a DMCA complaint, I also said that I expected full reimbursement.

They probably didn’t sell any, though. I know for a fact that I couldn’t sell any myself.

YO DUDES!

Looks like AO3 fanfiction is being stolen and sold as e-books.

Please go to Ebook tree and look for your fanfiction.

Here  and here is more info for how to proceed

Remember the Goodreads fanfic debaucle?  Well, another site is now doing it.  I just found 13 of my stories listed over on ebooks-tree.com, a for-profit site where I neither uploaded them nor authorized anyone else to do so.

I have a very clear statement that says I do not want my works or translations published on any platform other than AO3, for various reasons, yet this seems to have been completely ignored.

I’m a 20 year old bedbound woman with a spinal injury, about to be evicted from my subsidised apartment for being disabled. I’m urgently seeking help to fund temporary private rental, and medical assessments necessary for a government housing application

I am completely unable to sit/walk. If I become homeless, my life will be in danger, due to physical vulnerability, and inability to request food without a charged mobile.

Being a girl was complicated. It was swallowing rusty nails and clawing our way towards something we didn’t even know we really wanted.

When I was thirteen I told Stephanie that drinking orange juice could stop you from fainting because it raises your blood sugar. In sophomore year, she slammed her head, saw stars, and ended up drinking an entire carton in one sitting. She vomited on her kitchen floor, but she couldn’t tell if it was from the concussion
