You set up a new forum, right? Why not put it as a link on here, and anyone that finds you and has copies of stories from the nutboards can...

1) It’s a baby forum
2) I don’t know how to put a link up to that whilst keeping my link to my smash words page. From what I can figure of the settings, they only allow one off-site link at a time. And I’d rather make money off of my pro stuff than let people read fics in progress.

I’ll be glad to be proven wrong. I check my tumblr settings rarely, though.

Small-Batch Writing

I’ve entered a phase of novel-writing which partly resembles novel-writing and partly resembles something else—something furtive, like low-level espionage, or a secret drug addiction.

For the past two months or so I was writing full time, flat-out, or as flat-out as you can get in this age of modern distractions like Twitter and Kingdom Rush and babies-who-for-some-reason-don’t-feed-themselves. Now I’m back at work.

But when you’ve got enough momentum going with a novel, and you’ve

Challenge #00498 - A123: Obvious Design Flaw

All those corrosive things humans excrete can come in handy sometimes, right?

(“We have to get out of this maze as fast as we can, but if we turn on the plasma cutter the monster will hear us!”
“Stand back, I got this” *spits at wall*)

“Sucrose! What the heck kind of alien builds walls out of sucrose?” asked Mabel.

“I have no idea, but we are going to need one hell of a dentist by the time we

This is probably an out there question, but I was active on the internutter site years and years ago. I was wondering what happened to it?

What happened is the server died. And I didn’t save squat :(

Putting it back up involves way too much work for my grand fixer-upperer. We’re all working on other, moneymaking projects and my site is on the far, far, far, far, FAR backburner. Maybe if SO gets bored on a rare and elusive holiday, it might come back.

In the meantime, I am S-L-O-W-L-Y putting all my fictions on AO3 because reformatting some of them does my wrists

  • 1 Liter of urine gives you 6 hours of electricity.

  • The system works like this:

    • Urine is put into an electrolytic cell, which separates out the hydrogen.
    • The hydrogen goes into a water filter for purification, which then gets pushed into the gas cylinder.
    • The gas cylinder pushes hydrogen into a

Challenge #00497 - A122: When The Rot Came In

The beginning of the end of Nufurria

(or- I’m *really* curious as to how this society began, what it was like in its heyday, and how interaction with the larger galactic culture changed it.  How do the Nufurrian ‘masters’ see themselves?)

Conception.

“Don’t you get it? We don’t have to be freaks and weirdoes any more! We can take all the furries and otherkin and everybody who loves anthropomorphics and go make a world in our

Challenge #00496 - A121: Adventures With Incompatible Technology

The robots of Steam-Powered Giraffe meet Van Rijn’s Muses.

{Fldth-whomp}

“I’m not saying she wasn’t a nice lady, Hatchy, I’m saying you really should have given that big, dangly robot her portal gun back. It’s done weird things to your cannon.”

“I like my new can-non,” grumbled a second voice. Presumably Hatchy.

“I’m k-k-kinda fond of it m-m-m-myself.” said a third. “But it’

Question: Why was the Doctor Who/SPG fic split into three "acts"? Is that how the show is broadcast in Australia, or was it more to show the...

We get our Who fix via the Interwebs :D But there’s still the three act structure in there. After the teaser, there’s always two fade-to-blacks in the three act style. Especially with the New Who.

So I went with that.

Because I can still dream and aspire to be a Who writer :D

In one day, I upheld the Bechdel test, avoided sexism, included more of the flavour of Original Who, and completely bypassed any of the “

If you’re feeling excess heat from your compy/phone/internet device, that’s probably my blush transmitting over the interwebs :D

[Yes, I am more familiar with tabletop RPGs than JRPGs or any kind of eRPG and it shows. DO let me know when/if I muffin anything up]

I am having immense fun with this story and I’m having trouble stopping. Even though the original idea-haver [hi @princesskittybot!] specifically asked for a set of short one-offs
