It's DONE!

I just wrote the final words of the alpha draft of KFZ.

Kinda waiting for a meteor to fall on my head at this point. It’s been one hell of a year for real life to interfere with the progress of a book.

I’ve already made up my mind on the dedication:

For Mayhem, who gave me the best worst idea ever.
And for Dad. I wish you could have read this.

IDK about the formatting tho.

This is it. After the editing, KFZ is headed off to agents and then, with luck, to a publisher somewhere who will print it.

This is not do or die. I have to keep telling myself that. It’s “Do and keep fucking doing it”. I have unbounded determination on my side.

I am so very good at playing Wall.

Autistic Garnet

I personally believe that Gem neurology is as a rule similar to autistic neurology. But only Pearl is usually singled out as being autistic (and sometimes Peridot), which I find problematic because 

1. they’re pretty damn pale as far as Gems go, and autism is HIGHLY underdiagnosed in people of color (though Pearl is coded as Asian, a lot of fans read her as white, which is also bad but another story for another time)
