Challenge #01636-D175: Just in Case Heroics

Can we please have more of O'Ranges (Uplifted Nufurria large dog/wolf mix). -- Knitnan

Ambassador O'Ranges had only one really annoying habit, and that was checking in every box left by the wayside. Even if it was upside-down. Even if it was clearly empty. He would stop in his tracks, check the box, and check the area around the box. He rarely spoke, so finding out what he was looking for took a significant amount of time.

Hitchhiker/Assistant Aelki put up with it. She only wondered internally what O'Ranges was looking for. She had her guesses, since O'Ranges had been left in a box in the negligible hope that he would find a loving home.

Other Ambassadors and their staff... tended to get antsy.

Challenge #01625-D164: A Girl and Her Service Dog

Can we see more of Julie and her care dog Nanny please? -- Knitnan

Looking at Nanny, one might expect the gigantic St Bernard to stand on all fours, but Nanny was

[Re-using Ambassador Ha'ri from story #00761, available for purchase in the next Instants Anthology (coming soon)

citadelbloodbeard:

While we’re on the subject of honeybees, I was recently visited by a swarm!

I came home Tuesday to find a huge cloud of bees all around a magnolia tree by the garage. In less than an hour, they coalesced into a tight ball of bees about the size of a football.

Now, I knew from a lifetime of nature documentaries that honeybees are at their most docile and least likely to sting when they’re swarming. A this time,

The real adventure of the baby skink in the bathtub…

This little sweetie was in our bathtub one night and we didn’t want to drown the poor thing. So Mayhem (he’s the background) and I spent about twenty minutes rounding up this poor baby skink.

I sent him outside to return the skink to the wild. During this time, said skink decided it didn’t want to leave.

Must’ve spotted us for born suckers.
