There are ways that are not cures, but it can ensure the lungs no longer fill. Though that does mean your chest is going to hurt like hell for quite some time while you heal. It's not 100%, true. But at least it'll no longer threaten to drown you. Though you may find you get ill more often at times.

My room is so full of medical fog that I don't see the Adventurers enter. When they come into focus, they look almost as rough as I feel. Filthy from travel, and still bearing some scars from combat. One of them walked with a limp. Another had an arm in a sling.
Their leader had some small plant in a terrarium charmed to keep it in an ideal environment.
"It's not a cure," he said. "We tried to find one, but... this was the best we could get."
