I think I'll share more fanfic today. I'll go off about the CGI movie Monkey King if I still have things to get off my chest when the fanfic is done.

Having grown up on a version of Journey to the West I have issues with the film. Suffice to say that it was clearly made for Western audiences unfamiliar with the source material and missed a LOT of beats from there.

And they made Tripitaka fat, and had him already escorted by Pigsy and Sandy!

Even with an evil dragon, it can pass as an expansion fanfic movie based very loosely on Journey to the West. And it is a fun flick.
