Embuggerance

Three out of the four corner posts that I need to notch are warped. This wasn't a problem in the middle, but it is a problem at the ends. I lack the muscular strength to hold down a post to the point where the limiter actually hits the line, and the accuracy to actually hit the line with my own limiting of the saw depth.

So I thought I'd disassemble the problem garden bed.

Problem 1: It's fastened with big-ass screws

Problem 2: There's six of them per corner

Problem 3: Two of those (per corner) are now underground

Problem 4: They're bolts masquerading as screws and I've only found two out of a potential 16 nuts

So yeah, things are going fantastic at the moment. I'll be digging dirt out of a mostly-disassembled garden bed, attempting to pull up the rest of the shell, and trying to retrieve the last eight nuts and bolts.

So I'm digging out the garden bed, saving the soil for some holes in the grounds, and hoping to salvage the rest.

We might need to get more nuts if we want to re-use this garden bed. It's looking that nasty.

I refuse to buy another thing just because the perfectly functional original had planned obsolescence worked into it.

My lappy is ready for rescue, at last, so part of today's PLN is going to go get it. Probably this afternoon, if I haven't managed to dig up the garden bed before then.

Today's Patreon is shorter by a fanfic entry. That's up on AO3 now. For free. Enjoy.

I also need to update the rest of Patreon. Five more chapters of B'Nar, whatever else I have stowed in my sleeves... that sort of thing.

For now, I am digging up some dirt.
