They are true. Diet soda is horrible; if for nothing other than the fact that they are using chemical sweeteners (and the fact that Diet doesn’t taste as good as Original). Your body doesn’t know what to do with the chemicals, because it isn’t something the body naturally recognizes like sugar, so instead of getting rid of the chemical nastiness, your body decides “I might find a use for this someday” and then stores it in fat cells. So by drinking that “diet” soda that’s supposed to be so much better for you, you’re actually doing more harm than good. You’d just be better off drinking normal soda. That at least has ingredients that your body knows what to do with.
