Challenge #03295-I007: Kintsugi's First Step

Not long after this poor, broken, shell of a man met Unty Vrax, there was an accident. Vrax was trapped under debris, pinned, badly bruised, and in serious danger. The human, adrenaline shooting through them, despite more debris falling on them damaging their prosthetics, dragged the debris off and got Vrax to safety. Despite getting hurt, Vrax was safe. And for them, that was the day, they truly started to heal.

Unty Vrax had been Human York's unofficial therapist for weeks before the Human asked for "a little help" with things about her domicile. In this case, moving some plants into their habitat to adhere to the new laws about air maintenance[1]. What it was turning into was a remembrance garden.

The bright flowers bought a smile to York's face and moisture to her eyes. "Pokki loved these. Said they were like fireworks but plant." The potted plant went into the new soil and gained a painted stone marker with the name Pokki.

What the CRC's reaction was seeing something like that happen in their schools? How the witnesses who watched the trial, and the others following with the timeline, reacted to it all? How the administrators thought

A human stands still, eyes closed, at their work station. Their lips move. They are talking to themself, softly.

"You're having a flashback. You're having a flashback. It's over, it's done with, you're healed. There's nothing wrong with your wrist, and no one can ever make you that helpless again. You're having a flashback." -- Anon Guest

Challenge #02437-F247: Looking For the Light

The human had seen his entire ship destroyed. It had been a sneak attack, an ambush. He fought for hours, it felt like months to him, but in the end, the pirates had overwhelmed them by sheer numbers. The only reason he survived was because one of his crewmates had done a "hail mary" maneuver and jettisoned an engine that had gone critical. The pirates were so badly damaged from that explosion that they were no longer able to go after what
