Only the gals get this one. Or anyone who gets *so* used to cleaning up after slobs
that they don't give them a chance to redeem themselves. The whole point of the joke
is that Kurt is used to getting into trouble and he's also used to cleaning up after
Scooter-boy's material demonstrations. Therefore, when Scoot shows up with a paintbrush
and some paint, it's all wasted effort.
Funny for some. A mystery to others. Oh well.

Heheh. Jean's thicker than two short planks. Heheheh.
For continuity's sake, I added the little paint can in frames 2 and 4, and it became
the joke. Jean has just walked the full circle, and now she doesn't know where she
is.
Well... *I* think it's funny.

Ever stood out in a crowd? Ever hated it? That's what this strip is about.
Kitty's the only one in a dress. So I made a couple of sprites of her in costume
[actually, it's a whole sheet :#) ] and used them this once. Go fig.
Kurt and Scott's civillian outfits are over-layers on top of their regular costumes.
Since it was a one-frame joke, I decided to not go overboard.

I decided to celebrate by numbers, rather than years, figuring that I'd run
out of oomph sooner or later [and I did. Kinda]. So the 25th strip became a
party panel, a la _Bob and George_ [Hi, Dave!]. And since I ripped off the ideas,
I did a nod to the original and best sprite-based strip by making the characters
the party caterers ^_^
I also decided to do a me-sprite [talking to Kitty] as another nod to _Bob and
George_. I later decided to include me as a sprite for comedic value ^_^
Plus I love the idea of playing God ^_^ Bwee-heeheeheehee ^_^

The introduction of Cape Man(tm) whom I have perverse plans for ^_^
Owing to a minor stuff-up, this strip ended up in the archives before its time, and
a lot of people were confused. Oh well. I FUBARed ^_^ My bad.
This is the first strip where I experimented with tiny alterations in expression. It's
nothing more than a pixel, but you can still *tell* that Kitty's smirking in the third
pannel. Amazing, no?
I also love the idea that our heroes are fighting over the privalege of fighting the
bad guy. It's so ironic.

Moral: When taking over a universe filled with superheroes, don't stand around
and wait for them to cream you.
Obviously, Cape Man(tm) has a set of personal rules that just set him up to be
toasted, roasted, bent, warped, spindled and mutillated ^_^ All for our viewing
pleasure ^_^

Kurt looks so awkward in pannel 2 because his sprite is a frankenstein. There weren't any
sprites of him kicking, so I made one.
I was proud at the time, but I think it sucks, now :(
And then I laugh at Cape Man(tm) ^_^
