Of course, me being slightly anal, I had to explain why Kitty didn't hear or realise what
was going on. I thought it might be funnier if some characters didn't realise they were in
a virtual world. I don't know if I still want to do that. I'll see what tickles my fancy
^_^
The other joke is that Kurt likes Kitty, and Kitty doesn't like him back. Scott still
hadn't been sprited at this point, but that didn't matter for the purposes of the punchline.

The debut of the circular world gag. I figured that it'd be funny since my
characters were currently in an endless hallway. The only tricky part was tilting Kitty so
that it looked like NC was holding her, which my darling hubbie did for me. Thanks Ken!
Kitty's last line is a side fling to the original B&W movie _The Fly_, also starring
one of my Hollywood heroes, Vincent Price ^_^

I think the whole point of this strip was some Kurtty flirting ^_^ That, and giving
Kitty a little more of a violent side than the side that's been shown on XME.

I think I'd seen just a leetle too much Austin Powers when I made this one. Plus I just
love the idea that Kurt's an incorrigible flirt. You couldn't stop him with a hammer ;)

Something about me just loves doing things the hard way. Just when I discover the
wonders of the polygonal lasso tool, and the other nifty shapes [Look ma! Thought
bubbles!] I decide to play with rotation and wind up turning the entire strip
around.
*MUCH* later, around about strip #70, I discovered that one can manipulate a selected
sprite in the same way. Until then, I was rotating and flipping entire character
sheets. D'oh!

Relationships simplified. Another easy strip to make. I decided to make Jean
as thick as two short planks for commedic value and a lot of future Jean-bashing
in later strips. Yes, I *know* she's supposed to be a genius, but I have an
explanation for that that *will* turn up in a new strip. When I finally have the
cash to get myself some new disk space :P

This was pure improv. I suddenly realised that Kitty was the only sprite in civvies
and decided that would make her just a wee bit uncomfortable. So I made a joke out
of it and frankensteined up a sprite of Jean in a similar outfit.
This is supposed to make girls angry. Lord alone knows *why*. I completely missed
the point of same-outfit-rage. Maybe someone could explain it to me ^_^
